Obtaining the degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Oviedo was only the beginning. Then came the need to continue learning that never ends; and then came the masters, the postgraduate courses and the updates in new techniques. The continued work in the clinic strengthens you until you finally achieve the excellence of offering a close treatment to the patient. When you solve any ailment you confirm that you have chosen well: what you do is pleasing, gratifying and comforting.
The path reveals the importance of personalizing care to do your daily work better. It is the sequence that gives you the time to create your own space; the result of pouring out the philosophy of knowledge learned and accumulated experience. This is how our Physiotherapy Clinic in Gijón was born, with a lot of vocation and the clear objective of making the difficult simple: removing pain from the patient and rehabilitating them. We were born to improve quality of life with the components of the human: work without sparing time, effort, treatment, dedication or technology.
I graduated in physiotherapy from the University of Oviedo in 2022, an academic training that I have been complementing in parallel with various training courses.
I recently expanded my knowledge by taking a Master's Degree in Manual Therapy at the University of Oviedo and a Postgraduate Degree in Advanced Invasive Physiotherapy.
I consider myself a caring and proactive person. Eager to continue growing and above all to accompany with my best version the beautiful therapeutic process that physiotherapy provides individually to each patient.
I hope to see you soon at the clinic, I arrive with my batteries charged.
I trained at the University of Oviedo in the Degree of Physiotherapy, finishing my training here in 2017, then I opted for the sports branch, finishing the Master of Sports Physiotherapy in 2019. I continued training in manual therapy, therapeutic exercise and motor control, and in recent years in ultrasound-guided invasive physiotherapy.
It will be a pleasure to meet you and help you improve.
I graduated in physiotherapy from the University of Oviedo in 2014, and since I finished I have always dedicated myself to this wonderful profession (already almost six years), with great enthusiasm and desire, and even more so now, being able to be part of this great team.
Trained in a Master's degree in sports physiotherapy, and after 3 seasons as a physiotherapist at UC Ceares, also trained in a Master's degree in manual therapy.
From now on we will see each other at the Gonzalo Concejo Clinic, where I will give my all for a prompt recovery of the patients.
Nesa or non-invasive neuromodulation is a system that helps us to intervene directly on the central and peripheral nervous system, in order to stimulate the processes of neurotransmission (information transmission between neurons) when neurotransmitters are not sufficient or work inefficiently.
It is not a new treatment, neuromodulation is the fruit of the continuous search of scientists who seek how the stimulation of neurotransmission can improve people's health and with it, their lifestyle.
The main use of neuromodulation is pain relief.
This can be pain from an injury, diabetic or peripheral neuropathy, chronic chest pain (angina), etc.
But recent advances have shown that it also helps to increase cognitive ability, and neuromodulation can be applied in fields such as psychiatry, psychology, physiology, traumatology, etc.
The problem with neuromodulation until recently was that it was invasive.
It involved everything from ablation of the nervous system to very strong medications.
Manual therapy is the fundamental basis of physiotherapy, it helps us to improve mobility and joint pain, as well as muscle and tendon pain; and immediately improve the individual's functionality.
Structural Osteopathy is part of manual therapy aimed at the musculoskeletal system, where we apply various techniques adapted to each dysfunction, tissue and patient.
Indiba® is a world leader in radiofrequency technology, accelerating the body's natural recovery and restoring vitality. In combination with manual therapy, it will stimulate tissue repair, accelerate injury recovery and reduce pain from the first session; reducing inflammation at the same time.
The EPI® technique has proven highly effective in the treatment of tendinopathies, muscle injuries and other soft tissues of the musculoskeletal system. It improves the quality of damaged tissue and reduces recovery times.
Dry puncture in the treatment of myofascial pain syndrome consists of puncturing the muscle (in the tense band located within the myofascial trigger point) with a sterile puncture needle with the aim of destroying the motor plate, stimulating the muscle receptor (neuromuscular spindle) immediately reducing pain and producing a reflex muscle relaxation with increased muscle elasticity.
Pressotherapy by Normatec Recovery, a patented pressotherapy system with studies that demonstrate a decrease in pain sensitivity, an increase in the range of movement and blood flow in the extremities, improving muscle recovery and venous return, achieving a drainage effect.
